History

1974Opening of the NBP Voivodship Computing Centre in Bydgoszcz, which will later be transformed into the Bazy i Systemy Bankowe (BSB) Company. These are the beginnings of data processing services for the NBP.
1980 Development and implementation of software related to the savings and settlement account system (ROR) and the personnel and payroll system (KASP), as well as implementation of a Tele-On-Line system for data transmission in the Bydgoszcz, Toruń and Włocławek voivodships..
1993The beginning of cooperation with the National Clearing House in order to standardise the interbank settlement system in Poland. The SYBIR system is developed, supporting interbank settlements. It will later be replaced by the ELIXIR solution, the development and maintenance of which the BSB will be responsible for.
1994Transformation of the NBP Voivodship Computing Centre into the Bazy i Systemy Bankowe Co. Ltd.  The National Bank of Poland is the owner of 100% of shares.
1997Development of the KADRY97 System – a specialised HR and payroll system for banks and financial institutions.
1999Start of the Central Accounting System for the NBP and provision of data to the Central Information System at the ZUS (project carried out between 1999 and 2004).
2000Development of the IT Monitoring and Management Centre System for the NBP allowing the central incident management and integration with external systems.
2002Certified by the PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 Integrated Quality Management System concerning IT solutions. Starting delivery  and maintenance services of cryptographic equipment for banking.
2004First implementation of the SPERT system – a proprietary application of the BSB Company, which helps to counteract money laundering and terrorist financing (currently the system is implemented in approx. 30 institutions).

Development of the EuroELIXIR branch application for settlement of orders denominated in EUR.

2005Obtaining a Quality System Certificate meeting the requirements of the PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 standard and the criteria of the Internal Control System (ICS) in the scope covering the activities of the entire Company.
2006Start of a project to build a system for the operational risk management. These projects created a comprehensive solution for the requirements of the operational risk management in banks and other financial institutions.
2007Launch of BSB’s own solution to support the FINREP external reporting to the General Inspectorate of Banking Supervision (now the Financial Supervision Commission). Based on this system, the BSB started working on the consolidation of financial statements at the NBP.

The end of the adjustment of the BSB Data Centre to market requirements, both in terms of security and technology. As a result of the investments made and later upgrades, the BSB has a fully modern and competitive Data Centre, which is able to carry out projects for domestic and foreign clients.

2008Implementation of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) by the Company.

Implementation of a proprietary solution under the name of Konsolidator dedicated to generate consolidated reporting reports at the NBP.

2010Implementation of the Kolekcjoner auction system for the management of the auctions of collector coins and banknotes at the NBP.

Implementation of software supporting the management of settlement messages exchanged in the ISO 15022 standard between the National Depository for Securities (NDS) and financial market participants via the SWIFT network in the area of Settlement & Reconciliation.

2011Development and implementation of specialised IT systems: suiteOBLIGO (bank reporting) and sorbELIX (PLN-denominated high value settlement system) at several major financial institutions.
2012Certified with the XBRL certificate, confirming the BSB’s high competence in the area of mandatory reporting, and implementation of the system for preparing the NB300 reports based on the XBRL taxonomy in several banks.

Implementation of the sorbELIX application in seven entities (6 banks and the NDS), which provides full support for the exchange of payment and information messages with the new RTGS SORBNET2 system at the NBP via the SWIFT network.


2014
Implementation of the emirOBLIGO application (reporting to the National Securities Depository and the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC)) at a number of financial institutions.

Development of the proELIX system (centralised clearing platform for the management of orders in all currencies and clearing channels) at a major financial market institution.

2015Design, development and implementation of a bibliographic system and anti-plagiarism solutions in the Digital Repository system of the National Library.
2016Implementation of the fatcaSPERT proprietary application for the identification of account holders meeting the criteria of persons reported under the Act on the Implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Government of the United States of America on the Improvement of Fulfilment of International Tax Obligations and Implementation of FATCA Legislation in several financial institutions.
2017Development and implementation of the mSPERT application designed to detect attempts to manipulate financial instruments at several financial institutions.
2018The MIFIR reporting via the mifirOBLIGO application at several major financial market institutions.
2019Implementation of the amlSPERT modern software to support the detection of terrorism and money laundering in banks and financial institutions.
2019Certified with the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 confirming the use of the information security system for the delivery of IT solutions.
2020Technology partnership with the NDS Group and the implementation of the sftrOBLIGO specialised software to support in reporting according to the SFTR Regulation.
2021Implementation of the amlSPERT solution on the international market – at a leading Hungarian financial institution.
2022Participation in the „IT for Ukraine” project and support for war refugees residing in Bydgoszcz.
