For over fifty years, Bazy i Systemy Bankowe has co-created the history of the Polish IT industry, remaining the longest-operating company in this sector in Poland.

We are proud that since 1974, our sole owner has been the National Bank of Poland, thus confirming BSB’s stability and reliability. At the same time, the Central Bank guarantees a one hundred percent share of Polish capital in the company, which is of strategic importance for the domestic financial system.

The main activity of our company focuses on designing and integrating advanced IT systems for institutions in the banking and insurance sectors, as well as public administration. We create solutions supporting, among others, interbank settlements, reporting systems, and anti-financial crime measures. We offer products designed based on modern technologies that help our contractors operate more efficiently, securely, and in full compliance with applicable regulations.

Our overriding goal is to deliver innovative and reliable IT solutions that genuinely streamline key business processes and enhance the operational efficiency of  organisations. We focus on developing competencies, open cooperation, and partnership relations based on trust and transparency.

Our close-knit team consists of over one hundred highly qualified specialists from various fields. Together, this team has successfully completed over a thousand projects for more than five hundred clients. History

Half a century of innovation that shaped the Polish financial system

1974

Otwarcie w Bydgoszczy Wojewódzkiego Ośrodka Obliczeniowego NBP, który w późniejszym okresie zostanie przekształcony w Spółkę Bazy i Systemy Bankowe (BSB). Są to początki świadczenia usług związanych z przetwarzaniem danych na rzecz NBP.

1980

Development and implementation of software related to the savings and current account system (ROR) and the HR and payroll system (KASP), as well as the implementation of the Tele-On-Line system enabling data transmission in the Bydgoszcz, Toruń, and Włocławek voivodeships.

1993

Commencement of cooperation with the National Clearing House (KIR) to standardise the interbank settlement system in Poland. The SYBIR system (later ELIXIR), supporting interbank settlements, is created.

1994

Transformation of the NBP Voivodeship Computing Centre into Bazy i Systemy Bankowe Sp. z o.o. The National Bank of Poland owns 100% of the shares.

Introduction of IBM mainframe computers to the Company.

1995

A pilot implementation of the Savings and Loan Account (ROK) system was carried out at the PKO BP district branch in Bydgoszcz. The implementation took place on IBM mainframes (OS/390, MVS) at BSB’s Data Centre.

1996

By decision of PKO BP, the ROK system was launched in 11 district branches. For 7 years, IBM awarded BSB the title of Gold Partner for a leading provider of mainframe systems.

1997

Creation of the KADRY97 system – a specialised HR and payroll system for banks (mainly PKO BP).

1999

Implementation of the REDBANK system at NBP for handling financial settlements with ZUS and supporting accounting operations, which was exploited until 2004.

2000

Construction of the IT Infrastructure Monitoring and Management Centre system for NBP, allowing for central incident management and integration with external systems.

2001

Launch of a proprietary GIRO SKŁADKA system at Bank Pocztowy for handling ZUS payments, taxes, and interbank transfers on IBM mainframes with an Adabas database.

2002

Obtaining the PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 Integrated Quality Management System certificate related to the provision of IT solutions. Commencement of supplies and service for cryptographic devices for banking.

2004

First implementation of the SPERT system – BSB’s proprietary application that helps combat money laundering and terrorist financing procedures (currently the system operates in approximately 30 institutions).

Creation of the EuroELIXIR branch application for settling EUR-denominated orders.

2005

Obtaining the Quality System Certificate meeting the requirements of PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 standard and Internal Control System (WSK) criteria covering the entire company’s operations.

2006

Commencement of a project to build an operational risk management system. As part of these projects, a comprehensive solution was created, responding to the requirements for operational risk management in banks and other financial institutions.

2007

Launch of the proprietary FINREP solution for GIiNB (currently KNF) and commencement of work on consolidating reports at NBP. Adaptation of BSB Data Centre to security and technology requirements, creating modern infrastructure for domestic and foreign clients.

2008

Implementation of the Information Security Management System (SZBI) by the company.
Implementation of a proprietary solution named Konsolidator at NBP for creating consolidated reporting reports.

2010

Implementation of software supporting the handling of settlement messages, exchanged in ISO 15022 format between KDPW S.A. and financial market participants via the SWIFT network in the Settlement & Reconciliation area.

2011

Construction and implementation of specialised IT systems: suiteOBLIGO (banking reporting) and sorbELIX (high-value PLN-denominated settlement system) in several significant financial institutions.

2012

Launch of the NB300 system in several banks, enabling the generation of reports based on XBRL taxonomy. Implementation of the proprietary sorbELIX application in 6 banks and KDPW for handling the exchange of payment messages with SORBNET2 at NBP.

2014

Launch of the emirOBLIGO application in many financial institutions for handling reporting to KDPW and Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation. Construction of the central settlement platform proELIX for Krajowa Spółdzielcza Kasa Oszczędnościowo-Kredytowa (KSKOK).

2015

Commencement of service provision – including implementation of legal changes and modifications in the SI EMERYT for ZER MSWiA. Design, development, and implementation of a bibliographic system and anti-plagiarism solutions in the Digital Repository system of the National Library.

2016

Implementation in several financial institutions of the proprietary fatcaSPERT application for identifying reportable accounts in accordance with the FATCA Act. Launch of the ESEW system at IPN for settling annual and multi-year expenditure plans at the institutional level.

2017

Development and launch of the mSPERT application in several financial market institutions, designed to detect attempts at financial instrument manipulation.

2018

MIFIR reporting via the mifirOBLIGO application in many significant financial market institutions.

2019

Implementation of modern amlSPERT software supporting the detection of terrorism and money laundering in several dozen banks and financial entities.
Obtaining ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certificate confirming the effective application of the information security system in the provision of IT solutions.

2020

Establishment of a technological partnership with the KDPW Group and implementation of specialised sftrOBLIGO software, supporting reporting in accordance with the SFTR Regulation.

2021

Implementation of the amlSPERT solution on the international market – in a leading Hungarian financial institution.

2022

Participation in the “IT for Ukraine” project and support for war refugees staying in Bydgoszcz.

2023

Obtaining the PN-ISO/IEC 9001:2015 certificate confirming that the quality management system implemented in our company meets international standards.

2024

Launch of the emirOBLIGOREFIT system in 6 banks for reporting transactions concluded on derivative instruments in accordance with the EMIR REFIT Regulation guidelines to KDPW.

Commencement of implementation of the New Branch System, designed to support cash and disposal tasks. Grand gala and celebration of BSB’s 50th anniversary.

2025

Launch of the Kolekcjoner auction system at NBP for handling auctions of limited and commemorative series of coins and banknotes.

Implementation of the sorbELIX system for monitoring, handling, and executing payment messages within the SORBNET3 channel.

2026

Commencement of migration of reporting applications to the GCP cloud for ING Bank.

Management board

Anna Roubo – Chairwoman of the Management Board

A graduate of the Faculty of Electronics at Gdańsk University of Technology. For over four decades, she has been involved in the IT industry, specialising in the design, implementation, and development of IT systems for the banking sector. She began her professional career in 1981 at the Voivodeship Computing Centre of the National Bank of Poland in Bydgoszcz, which was transformed into Bazy i Systemy Bankowe in 1994, where she gained experience, progressing through subsequent stages of professional development – from EMC operator and programmer to project team leader.

During her career, she designed key IT solutions for the banking sector. She is a co-author of the first production version of the ROK systems for handling savings and loan accounts for retail customers and RB – banking products for the non-financial sector, developed for PKO BP. She also co-created the GIRO SKŁADKA system for Bank Pocztowy, supporting the handling of accounts for small and medium-sized enterprises in terms of ZUS contribution settlements and tax liabilities to tax offices.

From 2003 to 2023, she was associated with Asseco Poland S.A., where, as an IT solutions architect, she participated in one of the largest and most technologically advanced undertakings in Polish banking – the implementation and development of the centralised OZSI system at PKO BP.

In August 2023, by decision of the Supervisory Board, she was appointed Vice-Chairwoman of the Management Board, and in 2024, Chairwoman of the Management Board of Bazy i Systemy Bankowe. She is responsible for setting the direction of the organisation’s development, conducting reorganisation activities, and strengthening the company’s position as a trusted technological partner for the financial and public sectors.

Piotr Mierzwa – Vice-Chairman of the Management Board

Doctor of Legal Sciences, legal counsel listed with the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers in Bydgoszcz. A graduate of law from Koźmiński University in Warsaw, where in 2011 he completed his studies specialising in European and Polish economic and financial law. He defended his interdisciplinary dissertation entitled: Abuses in the capital market. Criminal-legal and financial analysis at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warmia and Mazury in 2017.

He is the author of scientific publications dedicated to the legal aspects of financial market supervision and regulations sanctioning capital market abuses.

He gained professional experience in public administration and financial institutions. From 2012 to 2016, he worked at the Bank Guarantee Fund, and then for 2 years at the Ministry of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation as an expert in the area of ownership supervision. From 2018, he served as Director of the Department of Parliamentary Affairs at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, where he was responsible, among other things, for leading government draft bills in parliament and coordinating legislative processes.

From 2021 to 2023, he was a member of the Scientific Council of the De Republica Institute, and in 2021, he was awarded an honorary badge by the Prime Minister for his contributions to the legislative process.

Since 2023, he has been a member of the Appeals Committee of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Football Association.

Additionally, from 2024 to 2025, he served as Deputy Disciplinary Spokesperson for the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers in Bydgoszcz.

Continuously since 2024, he has held the position of Vice-Chairman of the Management Board of Bazy i Systemy Bankowe, where he coordinates the work of, among others, the Legal Support Team.

Since October 2025, he has also been an assistant professor and head of the Department of Forensic Science and Criminology at the Faculty of Legal, Social, and Humanities of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Academy in Bydgoszcz.
