A meeting of the Council for New Technologies and Digitalisation to the President of the Republic of Poland was held at the Presidential Palace. The meeting focused on a review of the Council’s work carried out so far, strategic directions for technology policy in Poland, and issues related to digital security, including the implications of recent incidents and measures to enhance citizens’ digital awareness. The Council also discussed its work programme for the coming period, including legislative proposals being developed by expert teams operating within the Council.
Piotr Mierzwa, PhD, Vice President of the Management Board of Bazy i Systemy Bankowe Sp. z o.o. (BSB), will contribute to the work of a team developing proposals for legislative changes concerning the gamedev sector. The group will focus on practical solutions that could serve as a basis for a future bill. The results of its work are expected to be presented to the President of the Republic of Poland as proposals that could support the exercise of the presidential legislative initiative.
At the same time, the BSB Vice President will join another working group preparing the “Report on the Technological State of the Country”. The report will provide an overview of Poland’s key technological challenges, potential and development opportunities. Work on its individual sections is scheduled for September and October 2026.
BSB’s involvement in these initiatives is an important contribution to the discussion on Poland’s technological development and the strengthening of national digital capabilities. It also reflects the Company’s expertise in delivering advanced IT projects and developing and maintaining solutions of strategic importance to the public sector.
